Oliver Rapf is the Executive Director of BPIE, the Buildings Performance Institute Europe, a Brussels based think-tank with a focus on energy and the built environment. Before joining BPIE, Oliver worked for the global conservation organization WWF in various roles, including as Head of the Climate Business Engagement unit of WWF International, managing strategy and partnership development with the private sector. Leading an international team, he advised multinational companies on climate change and energy issues. In his early career, he worked on regional sustainability strategies and spatial planning.
Marina Economidou is a scientific and technical project officer at the Joint Research Centre of the European Commission. In her current function, she co-ordinates and provides scientific/technical support for the JRC activities on the Energy Efficiency Directive. Her work focuses on EU energy efficiency policies, financial instruments on building renovations, and innovative measures to overcome barriers to energy efficiency. She is a civil engineer by profession and obtained her MEng and PhD degrees from Imperial College London, UK.
Jaap is the manager of international projects and standard of ISSO: Dutch Building Services Research Institute and managing director of KBI: Dutch Quality Assurance Institute for Building Services, both in Rotterdam in the Netherlands. He also chairs the CENTC 371 Program Committee on EPBD, is a Fellow of ASHRAE and REHVA and is the Editor-in-Chief of the REHVA-Journal.
Frank Hovorka began his career at Vinci as Construction Manager in 1990.
In 1996, he became technical director and then chief financial officer (1998) at the property management subsidiary of Caisse des Dépôts in Prague.
Program Director for the EMGP-Icade group (which belongs to the Caisse des Dépôts group) in 2000, Frank Hovorka becomes director of programs in charge of international affairs in 2006.
From 2010, he is a project manager in the sustainable real estate sector, the project director in the strategic management department for the Caisse de dépôts.

Panama is Director of the Investor Confidence Project Europe, where he works with a wide array of stakeholders to develop standard methodologies and protocols for energy efficiency project development and documentation. Previously, Panama was the Advisor on Energy and Natural Resources to California Assembly Speaker John A. Perez where he oversaw the State of California’s energy and environmental legislation and budget.
Ron is a business coach within the Climate-KIC Accelerator program. Ron coaches early stage cleantech entrepreneurs with an initial idea and/or prototype, advising them on how to develop a business model with a scalable and profitable product or service, which will sell successfully in the market. Ron is also founder and Managing Partner at Start-U-Up.
